About your new role:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated residential team on a full-time basis. In Brookton, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our residents pursuing their unique personal goals and passions, enabling them to live full and meaningful lives. This means understanding what matters most to our residents and working together to ensure we deliver on this commitment every day.
This position provides direct clinical care in accordance with their scope of practice and oversees the delivery of clinical and allied health services for residents, including guidance to clinical and care staff. The Registered Nurse coordinates and has leadership responsibilities for all resident care and works closely with the Clinical Manager in the identification of evidence based best practice and quality initiatives across the facility.
Duties:
Develop individualised, person-centred support that promotes physical and emotional wellbeing
Provide direct clinical care and oversee the delivery of clinical and allied health services
Report on clinical incidents and care related events
Create and monitor care plans and assessments for residents
Provide leadership and supervision to enrolled nurses and care partners
Supervise and administer medications in accordance with regulations, policies and scope of practice
Build relationships with individual residents, families and staff
Complete reporting and documentation in line with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, professional standards, policies, procedures and Baptistcare values
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse within Aged Care facilities is ESSENTIAL
Willingness to obtain a valid Driver's Licence as the town of York is regional with limited transport
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead and positively influence a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of person-centred support
Willingness to obtain a new National Police Check (cost covered)
Willingness to obtain or provide proof of 2023 Influenza & three (3) Covid-19 Vaccinations
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical if required
Willingness to obtain National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check (reimbursed upon commencement)
Willingness to obtain or provide proof of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
