This opportunity
The key objective of this role is to support the Treasury Operations Manager in the identification, accounting, reporting and compliance of treasury risks and procedures, within Australian Accounting Standards and TPG Treasury Policy.
Responsibilities
1. Review AP payment batches and liaise with AP team to ensure efficient payment completion.
2. Prepare / review monthly treasury accounting journals.
3. Review and approve cash and treasury balance sheet reconciliations and resolve unreconciled items with treasury back office and other business units.
4. Update daily cash flows & balance sheet forecast model and assist in preparation of yearly and long-range cash flow forecasts.
5. Update loan schedule and ensure loan and interest payments are processed and completed on time.
6. Prepare and provide commentary on monthly interest / FX report.
7. Work closely with commercial managers to understand the key drivers of their forecast receipts, payments and any other significant issues affecting cash flow.
8. Improve the accuracy of the cash forecast model, working with various teams to develop a deeper understanding of the cash drivers and their link to business processes.
9. Assist in preparation of monthly cash flow statements and commentary.
10. Preparation of quarterly treasury report and other ad hoc reports
11. Prepare annual interest budget and quarterly full year forecasts.
12. Review semi-annual financial covenant calculations.
13. Provide necessary support to the Governance team in the preparation of annual and semi-annual statutory financial statements.
14. Treasury administration (accrual schedules, AP releases, FX settlements etc.).
15. Day to day responsibility of transactional banking, including new account set-up, new users, password reset, signatories, bank transfers and payment release.
16. Update succession documentation and processes where applicable.
Knowledge and experience
17. Qualified accountant 3+ years of experience post CPA/CA
18. Strong excel, modelling and problem-solving skills
19. Ability to analyse results, identify trends and communicate to various stakeholders.
20. Strong attention to detail
21. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to deal succinctly with others in various parts of the business.
22. Pro-active approach to issue resolution.
23. Oracle systems knowledge beneficial.
24. ANZ Transactive and banking system knowledge beneficial.
25. Strong understanding of financial markets and accounting issues relating to a corporate treasury beneficial.
