Novated lease options for personal use.About your role: The role of Senior Civil Designer (Lines Engineering) is responsible for providing a high standard of technical expertise to internal design, construction, and external customers.You are an experienced civil designer, working with our Civil/Structural Lines Engineering Design team.The work completed within this role will be varied, but includes aspects such as:Undertake detailed engineering design for new and existing overhead lines.Access track and working platform design & documentation.Documentation of structural elements related to overhead and underground works (retaining structures, foundations, concrete pits, plinths, steel support frames, etc.).Co-ordination with external designers and consultants for additional modelling/assessments (flood, geotechnical, traffic).Reviewing external consultant's submissions where works are proposed in the vicinity of our assets.Maintain and develop internal design documentation standards and tools.The role supervises, co-ordinates, leads, and participates in project teams which perform cost-effective overhead and underground line design work and the associated civil works, for transmission, sub-transmission, and special distribution projects, to ensure efficient production of safe designs and enable safe and efficient construction.With flexi-working and a 9 or 10 day fortnight in place, the bottom of the salary band starts from $164,098-$173,506 for 9 days and $185,429-$196,059 for 10 days, plus superannuation of 14.75%.The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant's knowledge, skills, and competencies that are required in this position.Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2024.For more information about this role, click on the position description link located at the bottom of the page.About you: Important to the success of your role is your:Associate Degree of Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.Advanced technical knowledge and experience relating to the engineering design and construction for a range of Civil Engineering applications, including but not limited to, unpaved access tracks and construction working platforms, cut/fill optimisation, site grading, retaining structures, embankments, reinforced concrete, and drainage.Advanced knowledge in the application of engineering software, calculations, and analysis techniques in a multi-disciplinary environment, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D or 12D.Experience with PLS-CADD & other engineering/modelling packages would be highly regarded.Demonstrated ability to lead a team, providing technical leadership, support, and guidance for the development of others.Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.Desire to undertake on-going or further professional development.What matters most to us is our values, We're Safe – We Belong - We Grow - We Deliver.And these should matter to you too.
