Join our team as a Surveillance Operator at The Star Brisbane & Treasury Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
As part of this exciting opportunity you will initially have the opportunity to work across Treasury Brisbane whilst being involved in the opening of The Star Brisbane.
Reporting directly to the Surveillance Shift Manager, the Surveillance Operator will be recording, investigating and reporting threats to casino revenue, safety of persons and the integrity of gaming operations across both our Treasury Brisbane and The Star Brisbane properties.
A few of your responsibilities
1. Monitor and Report on all critical incidents across The Star complex
2. Monitor alarm systems and co-ordinate an appropriate response via communications systems to relevant operational departments and emergency services
3. Investigate and Report on activities that potentially pose a threat to the integrity of the operations and casino statutory obligations
4. Review CCTV footage to resolve all gaming inquiries and disputes from internal and external customers
5. Video record and document potential misconduct claims against staff and patrons
What we are looking for
6. The ability to work weekends and nights on a 24/7 rotating roster
7. Being able to reliably work in a small, very dynamic, team changing environment
8. The capacity to prioritise daily workload to ensure the efficient and effective performance of their position
9. Current QLD Security Industry Registry Licence
10. Successful completion of an approved Trainee Surveillance Operators Course
This position will be responsible for ensuring the protection of company assets, as well as the safety of team members and patrons. This will involve the detection of cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal or undesirable activities within The Star complex.

The $ billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.
