Senior Engineering Manager Company: Boeing Aerostructures Australia Pty Ltd We are seeking a permanent Senior Engineering Manager to join the team based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will apply your extensive leadership experience to manage a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design, development, and production support of structural components and/or a whole of Aircraft design. Successful candidates will have prior experience leading teams comprised of one or more Engineering skills (Production, Design, Stress Analysis, Automation, Innovation, Research and Technology) across an international organization. They will also have prior experience working in high-paced critical-flow environments and a proven track-record of being adaptable to changing demands. About the role Lead, develop and engage employees and first line managers within multiple Engineering disciplines performing engineering and technical activities Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives Acquire resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of staff and leads process improvements Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Establish an open, inclusive and innovative team culture Develops and executes integrated plans, policies and procedures and provides input on strategies, goals, objectives Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering Experience leading or managing large or complex teams of managers and or non-management employees 10 years of experience working in an engineering design office or a production support environment Proven ability to work and lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team that may be geographically diverse Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate at all levels with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customers Experience with change management and demonstrated ability to continually identify and drive the implementation of technical and business improvements and new opportunities Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) 5 years in a formal engineering leadership (manager) role Please note that applicant must hold Australian Citizenship to meet defence security requirements. Classification Level : This is a non-EBA Manager position IJC 6C1KML. Remuneration will be dependent on skills and experience. The successful candidates will be required to complete a 3 month probationary period.
