About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Senior Psychologist – Research, where you will be responsible for:
* Establishing foundational research principles and strategies for CAMHS in alignment with the WCHN Research Strategy 2023-2027 and the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework (NCTGF).
* Designing and leading research projects from grant development through to dissemination of outcomes.
* Conducting reviews to assess organizational capacity for research initiatives.
* Providing advanced clinical services to the child and adolescent mental health population as needed.
* Assuming a clinical and professional leadership role within CAMHS, overseeing practice standards and service delivery.
* Supervising and providing professional guidance to psychology staff within their team or across teams.
* Collaborating with allied health, nursing, and medical staff, along with service managers, clinical coordinators, lead psychiatrists, and other stakeholders, to support service development and meet client needs and demand.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* An appropriate degree in Psychology (Master's Degree in Clinical or Health Psychology) or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Psychology Board of Australia, with general registration and endorsement in the clinical and/or health psychology area of practice.
* Approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia, qualified to supervise at all levels (primary and secondary).
* Demonstrated experience in presenting evaluation, research and/or project outcomes to professional, management or academic audiences.
* Extensive clinical experience in the delivery of mental health psychology services to children and adolescents, with advanced clinical experience in the delivery of a range of evidence based clinical modalities relevant to Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
* The ability to Communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
* High-level ability to analyse problems and devise innovative, flexible and effective strategies to address them in consultation with management, colleagues, other health, education and human services workers and those with lived experience.
