Position Information Murwillumbah and Wollumbin High Schools merged in 2023. In 2025, Murwillumbah Learning Community High School will become Murwillumbah High School and Wollumbin High School on their original sites. Wollumbin High School with an enrolment of approx 260 students, including 13% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 4% enrolments of students with English as an additional language or dialect. Cohesive teams drive school improvement through a focus on student excellence, high expectations, engagement, collaboration and reflective practice. Students have access to a broad curriculum, including Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses. In addition to the general selection criteria. 1. Demonstrated capacity to deliver high quality, innovative mathematics instruction across Stages 4 to 6, utilising evidence based teaching strategies that engages all students including Aboriginal students, promoting a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. 2. Highly organised with a proven capacity to balance teaching responsibilities with broader administrative tasks including the ability to support and lead, syllabus implementation, record keeping, assessment & reporting and NAPLAN co ordination. 3. A team orientated leader committed to contributing positively to a collaborative and inclusive school culture. Ability to work closely with colleagues to enhance curriculum, support wellbeing initiatives, and foster a school environment characterised by high expectations, support and respect for all students. 4. Capacity to collaborate on the development and management of whole school activities. Experience or willingness to develop skills in using timetable and school management software, with a flexible, problem solving approach to meeting the needs of the school community. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6.
