: The Executive Branch Manager, Statutory Assessments will lead the Development Assessment Branch responsible for the regulatory and delegated statutory assessment decision-making functions of the Territory Planning Authority.
The role reports directly to the Executive Group Manager and ACT Chief Planner, Statutory Planning and will provide support in leading the wider Statutory Planning Division.
Essential qualities include exceptional judgement, risk engagement, ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and a determined focus on finding great solutions for the Canberra community. Experience in and an understanding of territory planning, development decision-making processes, and land management processes will be beneficial.
As the Executive Branch Manager, Statutory Assessments you will take an executive leadership role within the Directorate and illustrate executive management skills, backed with the ability to support the culture and direction of the Directorate. This role requires the proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships, lead and deliver large scale projects within set and often tight timeframes, as well as having high level communication skills.

Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $265,492 - $276,106 depending on the current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $235,867 .
Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
