About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Mobilisation Practitioner to join our Advanced Manufacturing line of business based at Edinburgh Parks, SA, reporting to the Manufacturing Mobilisation Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.
As the Manufacturing Mobilisation Practitioner (MMP), you will be responsible for providing hands-on support to ensure the seamless integration of new products into the end-to-end production system.
Working closely with the Manufacturing Mobilisation Team, Production Launch Team, and Production Teams, you will focus on meeting production takt time and optimizing system effectiveness to achieve full-rate production.
Your role will be critical in driving a smooth transition from development to manufacturing, ensuring efficiency and operational readiness.
Key responsibilities include: Implement changes to the facility and refine operating methods to enhance efficiency and workflow.
Design and execute a structured approach to organizing work areas, equipment layouts, and workflows, ensuring logical sequencing of operations.
Establish clear, easy-to-follow standards for workstations, enabling operators to move efficiently through workstations while ensuring the correct use of equipment, materials, tooling, and setups.
Utilise lean principles, value stream mapping, and process flow optimization to identify and address inefficiencies, reducing waste and lost time.
Ensure the production environment prioritizes worker safety and efficiency by developing ergonomic tools, functional workstations, and risk assessments for full-rate production.
Provide hands-on support during new product launches, troubleshooting issues to facilitate a smooth transition into production.
Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to design and implement transportation containers, lean material handling kits, job-specific toolkits, and workstation visual aids, ensuring the safe and high-quality movement of products through the production system.

Experience in manufacturing/production with a solid understanding of Lean Management principles.
Hands-on approach to improving production processes and optimizing system efficiency.
