Maintain the School's rowing fleet, resources and facility Full-time, ongoing position Elevate your career at CGS About the Role The role will involve preventative, reactive and progressive maintenance and upkeep of the Canberra Grammar School's rowing fleet, resources and facility.
All three aspects of this role will be a continual process to ensure the safety standards of the equipment and facility are maintained, and that all equipment is in working order.
Additionally, this role will assist in the transport of students to and from rowing events, as well as assisting other areas of the school during the rowing off-season, including performing the duties of a maintenance worker.
The daily duties will involve collection and management of waste, furniture and equipment transport and general maintenance duties.
About You You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following: Extensive experience in maintaining rowing boats and equipment to a high standard.
Previous experience in driving buses (23 seats), with a high regard for road safety and rules.
A current and valid ACT Drivers License to drive a bus with 23 seats.
White Card and an Asbestos Awareness Card (or willingness to obtain this).
Capable of lifting and moving heavy items, including furniture and equipment, on and off Utes.
Working-at-height qualification to clean gutters and work off ladders (or willingness to obtain this).
Previous maintenance experience is desirable.
Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
Administrative and organisational skills.
Communication and interpersonal skills.
All team members at CGS are required to have: Appropriate qualifications Current First Aid training (or willingness to obtain this).
A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card A current National Police Check; and Full working rights within Australia.
