The Role Hedland SHS is currently seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, organised and innovative Program Coordinator (PC) for our Success Program which is part of the BHP Pilbara Education Partnership (Home - Pilbara Education Partnership (bhppilbaraeducationpartnership.wa.edu.au). The Success Program provides participating students with extensive wraparound support for their wellbeing and academic achievement. The program is broken into four classes that provide varying levels of intervention and support depending on student need, including an education support class and an off-site intensive support program. The Success Program consists of students with a range of complex needs, requiring strategic planning to support their skills in emotional self-regulation and managing risk, as well as academic support in order to prepare them for life post-school. The PC – Success Program works collaboratively with specialist teachers and support staff to ensure authentic, relevant, meaningful and challenging learning programs are delivered. The successful applicant will have demonstrated successful experience and success in leading teams to create a positive learning environment where students are supported and challenged to thrive. The successful applicant will be a highly effective interpersonal leader with expertise in working collaboratively with staff, students, carers and the community to co-develop and implement individualised plans. The PC – Success Program will ensure clear pathways are created and supported for students to enter into further training or employment through functional literacy and numeracy skill development, while supporting their social and emotional needs. The PC – Success will also collect and monitor student achievement and attendance data in order to plan and report in relation to the BHP Pilbara Education Partnership targets. This role may also include a teaching load.
