This is a new position resulting from enhancement positions and departmental structure improvements in response to the growing size of our team. The position provides leadership and clinical governance across a team of clinicians working in a range of inpatient, outpatient and post-acute aged care and medical services. What you'll be doing The Team Leader Physiotherapist is responsible for leadership and management of the Aged Care / Medical Team and supporting the Head of Department in broader Physiotherapy service activities. This includes providing clinical and administrative leadership, the monitoring of professional standards, workforce planning, clinical practice development, and safety and quality projects across aged care/medical streams. The team leader will supervise senior and junior therapists in the aged care and medical team, and provide leadership in education programs in these areas. There will be a clinical caseload across aged care/medical inpatient and/or related outpatient services. The team leader will be involved in facility opportunities including the facility falls committee and patient flow/length of stay committees. Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Extensive clinical specialty experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of a complex physiotherapy caseload. Demonstrated effective skills and experience in leadership and management, supervision and education of staff and/or students. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and ability to implement evidence based practice. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement, research and service development activities. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
