We’re looking for a Graphic Artist in Perth to work on a national Australian retail brand. You are Someone who enjoys working closely with the Account Management, Production and Creative teams on a diverse range of artwork across all channels from digital, print, and OOH, with a focus on catalogues. This role: Your speed and proficiency as a Graphic Artist will be put to good use as you work your way through a variety of jobs in this fast-paced environment. You have a high attention to detail, excellent layout and typographic skills, as well as the ability to understand and work within clearly defined brand guidelines to produce high-quality work that’s fit for purpose. With tertiary qualifications in Graphic Art/Finished Art, ideally you will have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position. You have a great attitude, and you’re a problem solver who attacks challenges head-on with drive and passion. The specifics: InDesign – a high level of knowledge in InDesign to support catalogue workflow, printer specifications and how to file manage a lot of data. Have extensive knowledge of typography, layout design and adhere to brand guidelines. Photoshop – an intermediate understanding of Photoshop for retouching and producing artwork from approved concepts. Illustrator – an intermediate understanding of how to make vector files and set up files for print/online. Social/OTV-TV – able to set up files for statics and animated socials. This is a combination of InDesign / Photoshop and After Effects. Microsoft 365 – understand how to navigate briefs and extract data to build artwork. And basics in using most of the common MS office apps. Basic understanding of external automation processes for catalogue production. How to export files suitable for web services as gif, mp4 and other file types (for socials) Basic understanding of animation in After Effects/Photoshop.
