In line with our ongoing commitment to delivering service excellence, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Service and Warranty Officer to join our Service and Warranty Team, servicing the Hervey Bay area.
Reporting to the Service and Warranty Manager, you would be an integral member of our construction team.
About the Role Our Service and Warranty Officers are responsible for performing inspections and maintenance repair works on client and display homes, with the key responsibilities being:
Performing inspections on defects/maintenance items for contract maintenance inspections in set timeframes. Perform maintenance repair works in the first instance on every job (apart from plumbing and electrical), i.e., repair door locks, shelving, doors, skirting and architraves, soffits, replace tiles, grout touch-ups, small patching and plastering jobs, silicon to wet areas and minor paint works. Liaise with clients and administration team to ensure satisfactory completion of works are carried out in set time frames. Liaise with the Service and Warranty Manager on reoccurring maintenance issues and provide recommendations for improvement. Organise and carry out required rectification works for warranty items as required. The successful applicant will have: Experience in a similar role with a residential building company preferred. An unencumbered drivers' licence as this role will involve a lot of driving. Trade or tertiary qualification in a construction-related discipline or similar, i.e., trade qualified carpenter (desirable). Knowledge of building regulations, Australian Standards, Safety regulations, and quality assurance systems. Ability to achieve established quality standards. Ability to maintain a consistent and very high standard of work. Intermediate level in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and data programmes. Strong interpersonal/communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have a high focus on customer satisfaction and problem-solving ability.
