The opportunity
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an APS4 Program Support Officer to join the National Access and Assessment Branch in supporting Participant appeal rights.
Labour Hire hourly rate contract until June 30th 2024, with the opportunity to extend. APS4 level role paying an hourly rate of + Superannuation, to be based out of our client's Waurn Ponds location.
On offer is 2 days working from home, with 3 on site, hours expected are an average of hours across a 5-day working week.
About the role
The APS4 Program Support Officer is a team membership position that will work within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility. The role will be required to apply well-established policy, principles, practices and procedures to achieve outcomes that supports and contributes to the Agency's objectives.
The role will be required to provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in systems and people performance, financial, staff lifecycle, knowledge and change management and general administration areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities.
Responsibilities will include
1. Performing basic research, analysis and manipulation of data to enable accurate reporting and assist in the development, collation and dissemination of regular reports
2. Providing support and guidance in maintaining the branch's staff life cycle, including recruitment, on-boarding, training and maintain staffing data across multiple formats
3. Assisting with collation and audits of workforce planning data, reporting on staff lifecycle and confirming against financial, systems and people performance data, surveys and asset management
4. Managing and organising emails, appointments and travel arrangements for the branch, responding to changing priorities and timeframes
5. Providing business administration and operational support to the branch across the staff lifecycle and knowledge, performance and financial management portfolios
6. Assisting in the delivery of projects under the direction of higher classification levels
About you
7. Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position
8. Public sector or disability experience highly advantageous
9. Prior Project experience desirable
10. Reporting experience
11. Strong written and verbal communications
12. High emotional intelligence
