Marketing Excellence Lead 12 Month Secondment/Max Term Location Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane About the role: This role is accountable for design and delivery of programs and activities focused on driving operational excellence, capability uplift and team engagement and enablement. Specifically, this role will be accountable for the design and delivery of: a program of learning activities designed specifically for marketers based on capability uplift/gaps and extension to ensure our people are future ready. communication and training support for the Marketing Specialist Capability Program communications to improve collaboration and engagement within the Brand and Customer Experience community; ongoing management in the oversight, and leverage, of Suncorp’s marketing related industry memberships and subscriptions. Key Accountabilities: Marketing Specialist Capability Program Design, implementation and ongoing monitoring of the Marketing Specialist Capability Program for FY24 and beyond in consultation with Manager Marketing Programs & Operation Manager Provide ongoing identification of core and emerging marketing capabilities and competencies Oversee implementation of Marketing Capability Program with identified learning partners/members Work with our agency partners and current membership partners to provide relevant and topical training to the Brand & Customer Experience teams. Communication & Training Support the development of deep dive training sessions for the Marketing tools in collaboration with Marketing Operations Lead. Develop and implement communication and training to support learning and capability programs led by Marketing Programs & Operations Manager. Collaboration & Engagement Identify and develop communications tools to encourage better collaboration between Brand and Customer Experience teams across 3 cities in collaboration with internal Suncorp TDL team Drive engagement and participation for Marketing Excellence led learning initiatives across 3 cities - including coordination communications and appropriate technology. Work with Marketing Operations Lead to improve engagement of a Suncorp internal content management system within Brand and Customer Experience teams. Relationship Management Oversee relationship management and administration with key membership bodies and industry subscriptions (eg: AANA, ADMA,) and ensure that any entitlements are leveraged accordingly. Identify opportunities for Suncorp representatives to actively engage in industry led thought leadership and information sessions along with the management of budget related to paid learning initiatives. Support the Marketing Program & Operations Manager as required General Responsible for managing training budget dedicated to supporting the above-mentioned responsibilities. Provide relief support as required for the Marketing Programs & Operations Manager Key Stakeholder Management This role is aimed at initiating action or acceptance by others through reasoning and application of rational arguments. The key stakeholders they would interact with drive influence with are: Internal: Key Operations Stakeholder Groups such as: Product & Portfolio teams (Banking and Insurance); Distribution (Direct and Digital); Intermediate Teams (including Corporate Partners); Customer & Digital Team All of Brand & Marketing Legal Advisory Risk & Compliance (1/2LOD) Community External: Tier 1 Creative & Media Agencies Industry bodies Various thirds party partners (as relevant) About You: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing related field (Desired) Intermediate experience in a related brand marketing field required: 2- 5 years that demonstrates a proficient understanding of marketing engagement and end to end capabilities. Proficient knowledge of the end-to-end marketing value chain and associate processes. Proficient knowledge of core and emerging marketing capabilities. Proficient knowledge of Australian marketing, creative and advertising landscape (network of connections desirable); Proficient understanding of communication and collaboration platforms. Proficient relationship management skills. Proficient communication, relationship and influencing skills; Sound project management skills.
