Job Description
As a Senior Planner with Turner & Townsend, you will have the opportunity to work with world-class clients on cutting-edge projects and build a successful career with a company that offers high levels of support at every stage.
You will be responsible for working on projects of all sizes, from one-off developments to mega-programmes, covering everything from leading teams, planning works, tracking progress, and business case delivery to bringing assets into use.
Key Responsibilities
* Work in an integrated planning and cost environment to optimize resource use and complete work plan scopes within budget and time constraints.
* Ensure that established planning and scheduling methodology is followed in developing project schedules.
* Develop project milestones and progress tracking baselines.
* Assess subcontractor compliance with established scheduling methodology.
* Support the development of the Work Breakdown Structure to support project delivery.
* Perform analysis of schedule data, identify trends, issues, and areas requiring attention to the Lead Planner and the Project Team.
* Contribute to schedule reporting, including schedule forecast updates and schedule contingency management.
* Support schedule performance updates, analysis, and reports in a timely manner.
* Ensure compatibility of contractors' schedules with integrated schedules/milestones.
* Analyze resource requirement and availability impacts on the schedule and recommend recovery options.
Qualifications
* Must be located in Western Australia with full working rights.
* A recognized Degree Qualification in a relevant field.
* Relevant industry experience ideally in the Natural Resources sector (Mining, Oil & Gas, Green Energy, etc).
* Experience in planning and scheduling of capital projects.
* Practical exposure to network planning structures and techniques, basic understanding of Primavera Project Planner 6.0 or above, and Microsoft Project.
* Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report writing skills.
* Collaborative and ability to work as part of a national team.
* Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and resilience to deal with a fast-paced environment.
