About the Contract
Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities. Ventia has been awarded a new water contract to deliver preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance along with Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentational services across the Seqwater network.
Ventia will provide service excellence across 35 water treatment plants, 95 pump stations and 26 referable dams.

At Ventia safety is our number one priority and is paramount above all else. As the SHEQ Advisor you will represent our safety values and oversee safety, compliance across the designated region.
The SHEQ Advisor will have a 30% office based and 70% field based role carrying out hazard & compliance inspections, risk assessments & ensuring compliance across the Seqwater network.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and monitor the critical risk protocols
Conduct audits and reviews of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments, while actively promoting awareness and understanding of these processes among employees
Carry out ICAM and other hazard, risk and compliance investigations
Upload and monitor compliance in VisRes (safety management system)
Manage workers compensation, injury management/return to work for your location
Conduct site audits and inspection including JSA’s, hazard, non-conformances
Lead by example and foster a positive safe working culture demonstrating key safety values
About you
Current C Class Driver Licence
Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
Experience as a SHEQ Advisor/Coordinator on maintenance contracts and programs
ICAM training investigations certificate (Desirable)
Fire Warden training - PUAFER005 (Desirable)
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - HLTAID001 (1 year) (Desirable)
Provide First Aid - HLTAID003 (3 - years) (Desirable)
