Your expertise will be instrumental in striking a balance between technical management and operational capabilities, all while navigating cost drivers and contractual constraints outlined in the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA). You will play an essential part in maintaining and optimising the Anzac Class Platform Systems and its support system.In this role, you'll apply your engineering expertise to deliver technical solutions, serving as the focal point for designated systems. Analysing Asset Performance, you'll make recommendations for optimization, contributing to long-term system efficiency. Join us and make a difference in shaping the future of our projects.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct System Reviews for enhancements of designated systems, covering: Operational data assessment, trends & failure analysis, and maintenance efficiency assessmentTechnical risk assessmentsRecommendations/action plans for improvement by challenging the current design and/or the maintenance/support systemsConduct single-domain technical investigations and analysis (e.g. Root Cause Analysis) for problem assessment/resolution, including recommendations for improvements by challenging the current design and/or the maintenance/support system.Conduct Initial assessment and oversight of Engineering Change activities for designated systems.Contribute to process improvement within the engineering lifecycle to deliver continuous improvements.Act as Technical Authority in the appropriate Class/Specialty when authorised to do so by Company Technical Authority or delegated authority.Contribute to accurate and appropriate technical documentation records being securely developed and maintained in the appropriate data management system to support through life knowledge capture.Contribute to technical information presentation and discussion (including formal reviews) with customers (internal and external).Produce technical documentation and solutions in support of assigned task (in accordance with applicable Delegation of Authority).Provide satisfactory engineering advice in area of technical or operational expertise and experience to the wider Babcock as necessary to maximise knowledge transfer and build operational capability.Seek and share good practice and knowledge locally, keep up to date with advancements in relevant technical areas and continue to develop skills and capabilities, to continuously improve both own and colleagues' practice and professional development.About YouYou possess an accredited bachelor's degree in either Naval Architecture or Structural Engineering recognized under the Washington Accord. You qualify for Professional Engineer category Membership through a recognized body and as a member of a relevant engineering body, you are actively working towards achieving chartered status and are committed to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).Your expertise extends to a deep understanding of Asset Management principles and their practical application, coupled with a thorough grasp of Integrated Logistics Support methodologies, including LSA, LORA, and LCC Analysis. Additionally, you bring a strong foundation in Total Cost of Ownership principles and are adept in Systems Engineering processes.Your proficiency shines through in Integrated Reliability, Maintainability, and Testability Engineering modelling and analysis.
