The Role The primary objective of this position is to offer clinical leadership in the Hospital's Emergency Department. This involves actively assessing patients, providing support, and leading junior medical staff. The role also entails coordinating patient management in collaboration with nursing staff and inpatient units to achieve Emergency Department (ED) performance indicators and organizational targets. Emergency Medicine Physicians in this role should possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in the broad spectrum of Emergency Medicine. This encompasses adult medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, trauma, toxicology, and addressing a diverse range of emergencies encountered in various medical specialties. The Location & Facility Situated 150 km to the east of Melbourne, the location places the facility as a primary regional provider of a diverse array of specialist health services across Gippsland. These services include hospital-based, sub-acute, and mental health services. This is an opportune moment to become part of the team, as they approach the completion of a $217 million expansion.
