QualificationCurrent Working with Children CheckKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES General Responsibilities (Assist) Assist the Nominated Supervisor for Yarrunga Early Learning Centre Inc.Work according to the Education and Care Services National Regulations under the (Education and Care Services) National Law (NSW).Ensure the temporary 'Responsible Person' is informed of current information/issues.Work according to the Code of Ethics of Early Childhood Australia and Yarrunga's Philosophy.Comply with Policies and Procedures of Yarrunga Early Learning Centre.Provide ongoing support and assistance to the Approved Provider in all areas of administrative procedures, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development, and any other areas as the need arises.Ensure the Approved Provider is informed of any issues arising, which would affect the children or the smooth running of the centre.Assist the Committee of Management and Director to ensure compliance with corporate governance matters.Manage recruitment processes and the employment relationship in consultation with the executive Management Committee.Promote open communication between Management and Staff.Lead the professional development and training program.Facilitate the successful implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan.Facilitate the successful implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework.Develop and maintain an environment that supports inclusive practices.Keep up to date with current developments in the Early Childhood field.Resource the centre with appropriate equipment and ensure the team maintains it at a high standard.Build effective networks with relevant community organizations.Any other duties specified by the Management Committee.Implement and environment.Support and supervise all centre staff and ensure daily organization of staff.Promote a healthy team environment and develop positive channels of communication to ensure a smooth running centre.In consultation with the Educational Leader, lead, guide, and support staff to plan, implement, and evaluate programs suitable to the individual needs and interests of children.Lead, guide, and support staff to create safe, supportive, stimulating, and educational environments for children.Lead, guide, and support staff to maintain ongoing records of the child's development and daily information.Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs and supervise staff through this process.Convene and assist lead staff meetings, family meetings, and management meetings as required.Families Develop and maintain positive relationships with families.Share information with families relating to their child and the daily activities of the centre.Create a safe, supportive, and informative environment for families.Act as a resource person for families.Attend parent meetings as required.Encourage families to participate in centre decision-making and experiences.Administration (Assist) Ensure effective enrolment procedures and bookings.Have knowledge of the Child Care Subsidy.Participate in the development of Yarrunga's Annual budget in collaboration with the Director, Administration Manager, and Treasurer.Monitor Yarrunga's financial performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with Yarrunga's financial plans.Closely monitor utilization rates and ensure vacancies are addressed immediately.Prepare reports and attend meetings as directed.Be aware of and develop skills pertaining to administrative functions within the centre.Work Health and Safety and Injury Management (Assist) Ensure policies and procedures are implemented as per the Work Health and Safety Management System.Investigate workplace hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Ensure areas of responsibility comply with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and injury management policies and procedures.Provide a consultative process for communication of WHS information allowing employee input into WHS issues.Provide advice and assistance on WHS issues within the centre and ensure workplace inspections are carried out as per schedule produced by WHS officer.Report WHS achievements and activities as required.Child Protection Assist the Director and Approved Provider to comply with child protection in the workplace- responding to allegations of reportable conduct against employees.Inform the Approved Provider of all allegations or convictions of a child protection nature against an employee, of which you become aware.Ensure the recruitment process includes compliance with the Working with Children Check guidelines.Ensure compliance as a mandatory reporter which requires reporting where there are reasonable grounds to suspect that a child is at risk of harm.Ensure all staff have approved Child Protection training, complete a refresher course annually, and are aware of their responsibilities as mandatory reporters.Our Community (Assist) Manage information that assists families to access resources within our community.Be an advocate for high-quality services for children in our community.Build social capital by promoting our community participation in decision-making.Manage excursions and experiences with children that promote awareness of our
