The Role:MLC is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the two-year implementation of our new Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
Reporting to the IT Program Manager within the Centre for Computing and Communications (CCC), you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing all aspects of this strategic project.
You will work closely with key stakeholders, ensuring project deadlines, budgets, and deliverables are met while utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Lead the end-to-end implementation of the HCM system, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, tracking progress across cost, schedule, scope, quality, risk, and issues.Engage with senior executives and stakeholders, providing clear project status updates and risk assessments.Identify and manage project risks and roadblocks, seeking Sponsor support where required.Ensure business impact analysis, stakeholder engagement, and change management plans are developed and effectively implemented.Facilitate smooth transition of project deliverables to business-as-usual (BAU) support teams.Provide guidance and mentoring on project management best practices within the College.Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure successful integration of the HCM system with existing applications.The School:MLC is a leading independent girls' day and boarding school in the inner east of Melbourne.

MLC students are empowered to be confident and resilient global citizens who possess the skills, knowledge, and attitude to thrive throughout every stage of their schooling and in an ever-changing, globalised world.About You:Formal qualifications or certifications in Project Management, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.Proven experience delivering HCM/SIS implementation and transformation projects.Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with different stakeholder groups.Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate across all levels of an organisation.Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.Experience in business transformation programs and change management.Familiarity with applications and business functions in a K-12 educational environment is highly regarded.A current Working with Children Check and Police Check.Be open to ideas, strive for excellence, and have a high level of integrity.For further information regarding this position, please reach out to or 9274 6460.
