The role is also offering some great employment conditions that include training and professional development opportunities.About you and this positionReporting to the Manager Finance, the Finance Officer is responsible for Council’s Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Business Activity Statement (BAS), insurance coverage for Council’s assets, credit card system, reconciliations and the primary back up for payroll, while providing assistance and back up support in a range of finance department related functions.As a successful candidate, you will have:A working knowledge of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) legislationA working knowledge of relevant Awards and the processing of payrollA good knowledge of a diverse range of finance related responsibilitiesExperience in working in a finance environmentFormal tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business-related disciplines (Essential)Experience in payroll, insurance administration, Accounts Receivable and tender administration (Desirable)A working knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to the work area (Desirable)Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1999, especially as it applies to Finance (Desirable)Experience with Technology One software (Desirable)This position is a permanent position and is classified as a Grade 4 under the Campbelltown Municipal Officers Staff Enterprise Agreement No.10, 2021 and relevant Award.
