ATSICHS Brisbane is a member of the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH).
We are seeking a Permanent Part Time Dentist to join our Logan Dental Clinic. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive and holistic dental care to achieve improved oral health outcomes for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Culturally appropriate dental care provision begins with rapport building, and includes assessing and diagnosis of oral conditions. This will include educating patients on oral hygiene and prevention and providing postoperative instructions while carrying out dental treatment.
Duties
* Provide skilled dental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to clients.
* Provide professional support to oral health therapists and fellow providers.
* Understand the principles of oral health care and the ability to work with a wide variety of professionals and the public, as part of a team to achieve results.
* Commit to ongoing continuous quality improvement processes with annual reviews into the efficiency of service provision.
* Operate within Clinical Policy, Employee Code of Conduct and Procedures at all times.
* Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

* Starting Salary of $121,535 to $126,756 per annum pro rata (depending on qualification and experience).
* 11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay).

COVID-19 Requirements
* Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine is encouraged.
Desired Skills and Experience
Required
* Bachelor of Dental Science or Equivalent.
* Registration with AHPRA.
* Known Blood Borne Viral Status including HIV, Hepatitis B, and C antibody levels.
* Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
* Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
* Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills.
* Willing to obtain National Police Check.
* Indemnity Insurance.
* Radiation Licence.
Preferred
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
