The Role
Join our Rockhampton Rollingstock Maintenance team as a Mechanical Fitter and contribute to the safe and efficient maintenance of our rolling stock.
Duties
* Provide preventative maintenance, presentation, and repair of rolling stock and associated components and equipment.
* Work on hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and pneumatics in a varied role.
* Contribute to the safety of the workplace, tasks, and team members.
* Communicate effectively with management, staff, unions, suppliers, contractors, customers, and other stakeholders.
* Ensure on-time completion of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
Requirements
* Highest level of skill in preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repair of locomotives and/or passenger rolling stock, associated systems, and their components.
* Substantial skills in working autonomously and within a team environment.
* Sound Mainframe and Personal Computer application skills, particularly in Maintenance Management applications.
* Pre-employment requirement: Mechanical Trade Certificate.
What We Offer
* Annual salary base of $81,000 working through to $97,000 (ET2.4 Including Allowance plus 12.75% super)
