We are looking for a dynamic, multi-skilled and enthusiastic graphic designer and web publisher. The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities, high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
The successful applicant will be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and extensive digital and print graphic design experience.
Experience as a web publisher is also essential, preferably with Sitecore and SharePoint publishing systems. This role would be ideal for someone who wants to consolidate their skills while building their strategic communication capabilities in a busy environment. You will need to have professional qualifications in design or equivalent experience to be suitable for the role.
Experience in photography and video production is highly desirable.
Job Specific Requirements :
1. Professional experience using the Adobe Creative Suite and relevant qualifications or demonstrated practical experience is essential.
2. Experience with the Sitecore and SharePoint content management systems or a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt skills to different web content management systems is highly desirable.
3. If you are asked to attend an interview, you will need to bring a portfolio of your work.
4. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.

Duty Statement
Classification: Parliamentary Service Level 6
Branch: Communications and Corporate Relations
Section: Communications and Media
Immediate supervisor: Assistant Director, Communications and Media
Under general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Service Level 6 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Provide graphic design services to the department for internal and external communication in line with Australian Parliament House and DPS branding requirements, across a range of communication products such as social media graphics, marketing emails, brochures, corporate publications and internal and external digital assets.
2. Publish content to the sections of the Parliament House website in line with WCAG guidelines. This includes publishing webpages using Sitecore to promote events, activities and exhibitions at Australian Parliament House.
3. Administer aspects of the publishing process for content on the DPS intranet, including the provision of advice to internal teams developing content and delivering ad hoc publishing training.
4. Create video content for social media.
5. Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across Parliamentary Departments and internally, to support outcomes and business requirements.
6. As required, manage the procurement of print and other services when required.
7. Contribute as required to other work of the communications team at DPS.

Salary
Currently, the salary range for this position is $94,259 - $105,941 per annum.
