Traffic Manager (Senior Project Engineer) Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the Hume Link high voltage electricity transmission project. Hume Link is a new 500k V transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states. Hume Link is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The Hume Link West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500k V double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with Hume Link East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Traffic Manager (Senior Project Engineer) to join the Hume Link West team. Please note this role will initially be based in Sydney, with transition into a site delivery role requiring DIDO/FIFO or relocation where additional allowances will apply. Key Accountabilities Your responsibilities in this role will include: Manage the scheduling of traffic operations Ensure compliance with safe work practices, company policies and procedures and legislative obligations, Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes. Managing traffic procurement and ensure subcontractors are set up to succeed through implementing robust systems and processes Deliver best for project outcomes through positive leadership, collaboration, identification of risks and interface with stakeholders Conduct regular onsite audits and leadership walks About You Bachelor of Civil or Traffic Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years relevant construction and traffic experience Experience in development of Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS), auditing and contractor management Experience in RAPID software, as well as Microsoft Office platforms including Excel The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement. Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.
