You will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all electrical and instrumentation maintenance tasks on the contract to meet Service Stream maintenance and contractual requirements consistently and safely. Teams may be called upon to deliver minor works projects as required.Nature of position: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Brisbane, QLDReporting Line: Area Manager Key Responsibilities The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be an experienced operative who safely and effectively maintains, undertakes installations, calibrates, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure optimal plant performance and regulatory compliance. Proficient in operating and maintaining network, treatment, and ancillary assets within water and sewer distribution systems. Committed to ensuring a reliable and secure water supply while minimizing environmental impact and maintaining positive operational and community relations.Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks to assets and processes including, but not limited to:Experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in water treatment maintenanceSkilled in reconnection/disconnection, fault finding, and equipment failure rectificationProficient in programmed maintenance, minor works, and capital installation projectsExperienced in commissioning & decommissioning of assets, plants, and installationsStrong ability to respond to alarms, meet KPIs, and ensure compliance with safety standardsAdept at providing technical support to stakeholders including client teams, and production personnelCommitted to workplace safety, process compliance, and operational efficiencyFoster a culturally aware, inclusive, engaged and high-performance team that supports a values-based workplace culture.Empower team members to make and own decisions and respectfully challenge and support each other.Participation in rostering which ensures efficient and continuous operation of critical infrastructure.The MECS teams will work collaboratively, supporting each other's disciplines to enhance efficiency, share expertise, and ensure seamless integration of maintenance and repair activities.Fostering collaborative engagement with external trade stakeholders to ensure efficient performance of services and minor works projects.Demonstrate effective leadership, create a positive work environment and promote best practice in the workplace.Ensure all decisions are made with commercial considerations.Contribute to the overall management of the team budget.Foster positive relationships with apprentices to drive enhanced trade skills of apprentices.
