About the organisation
South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network (SEMPHN) is one of six Primary Health Network organisations in Victoria and thirty-one nationally. Its vision is to improve health outcomes for 1.6 million residents across the south-east Melbourne community. Governed by an independent board and primarily funded by the Australian Government, SEMPHN focuses on the priority areas of mental health, alcohol and other drugs, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, aged care, population health, workforce development and digital health.
About the role
The Director, People and Culture leads a small and agile team established to enable SEMPHN to deliver on its people, culture and engagement commitments. Reporting to the Executive Director, People Communications and Engagement Services, this hands-on role blends strategic and operational responsibilities. Success in this role is dependent on building high-value, effective relationships with the executive and senior leadership teams, as well as the broader workforce. A key focus for the appointee will be enhancing SEMPHN’s talent management, capability and performance functions, which are critical in supporting the organisation’s ‘Path to Impact’ strategy.

You are an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience leading high-quality people and culture functions. An exceptional generalist with a well-rounded skillset across strategic and operational priorities, you are committed to driving sustainable change. An influential and supportive leader, you are comfortable rolling up your sleeves and trusted as a strategic advisor to senior leaders.
