Wood is currently recruiting for a E&I Supervisor for an on-site regional Queensland project on a FIFO arrangement from Queensland.
The Supervisor will provide day to day supervision of the team in the delivery of work, to meet safety, operational reliability, quality, financial and productivity targets. Providing supervision of multiple activities and work groups ensuring consistency, efficiency and continuous improvement of delivery. To contribute to excellence in service delivery to the client through:
1. The provision of leadership and supervision of the electrical discipline, ensuring the delivery of work in line with safety and quality systems
2. Participation in the effective planning, scheduling and coordination of work as required and ensuring service objectives are met within the required timeframes
Ensuring duties are performed in line with both Wood’s and clients HSE programs
3. Recognised Trade certificate and QLD Electrical trade licence is essential (Electrical Mechanic, Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Instrumentation)
4. Dual trade qualification in electrical/instrumentation is required, with a Cert III in Instrument and Control or Cert IV in Electrical – Instrumentation
5. Cert IV in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) required
6. LVR/CPR required
7. Working at Heights and High risk EWP licence (desirable)
8. Shutdown experience is an advantage.
9. Foster and maintain a collaborative, high-performing and client-oriented culture of safety, continuous improvement and effectively lead clients’ workforce to support delivery of the contract’s strategic objectives.
10. Understand, work to and ensure the compliance with the clients Permit to Work System.
11. Ensure all SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) are developed, reviewed and understood and all associated paperwork is satisfactorily completed.
12. Ensure timely resolution of safety issues and provide communication and consultation of safety related matters with work teams
13. Keep informed with all Wood internal HSE updates and communicate to direct team .: Life Saving Rules, Safety Shield.
14. Reporting all incidents using Loss Prevention System (LPS).
15. Lead & participate in investigations and implementation of assigned actions and communicating team incidents/ lessons learned at weekly site safety meeting.
16. Maintain a zero tolerance for unsafe acts or behaviours and implement and deliver the Just and fair culture process as required.
17. Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes within the area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risks in accordance Wood and clients’ requirements.
18. Direct and assign the appropriate resources to complete tasks to ensure delivery of quality work and to avoid rework.
19. Prioritise, schedule and monitor works undertaken by trades, optimising the use of resources to provide timely and cost-effective services.
