Here at Healthscope in our graduate program … you mean more!
At Healthscope we realise how hard you’ve studied to get to this point. Taking the next step in your career is an important milestone. With us you can kick start your employment as an early career nurse or midwife through our comprehensive and individually tailored program.
As the only national private hospital operator and healthcare provider in Australia, our 38 sites offer a range of acute, medical, surgical, mental health and rehabilitation services to the communities we care for.
When you’re working in the private healthcare sector, you’ll get more hands-on experience, in a supported way, of course! Our nurses and midwives are often the key point of communication directly between our patient and doctors.
In addition, our private healthcare nurses and midwives find they can accelerate their careers as there are more opportunities available and a greater ability for specialisation.
Given we deal with more predictable patient admissions in the private sector, it also means you’ll get more flexibility in when you work. Our leaders work hard to develop rosters that suit our people and the career and life stage they are in.
With full time or part time options available (minimum 30 hours/week), our 12-month program is coupled with an additional Consolidation Year to further support your transition to practice and develop your clinical skills and knowledge.
Healthscope opens the door to endless opportunities for our people, giving them the flexibility to work across one or multiple hospitals across our network, providing the perfect opportunity for our people to thrive both professionally and personally.
