This role is the key link between NBN and QTQ, working closely with producers, on-air talent, and the EP to ensure all elements of the bulletin are accurate before going to air.
From rundown management to last-minute editorial decisions, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality news to our audience.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the EP and Pilot throughout the day on the rundown and productionOversee and check every element of the bulletin before it airs, including scripts, story times, overlays, and supersProblem-solve any issues that arise during the broadcast, making critical editorial calls as neededCommunicate with on-air talent, producers, and control room staff to ensure seamless executionBuild rundowns in ENPS and check templates for accuracyQualificationsWhat we would like to see :Experience in Journalism or News Production (control room experience preferred)Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a live TV environmentFamiliarity with ENPS, AVID / Velocity edit systemsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to develop and maintain strong working relationshipsAdaptability and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environmentPrevious experience working within a news team is highly desirableAdditional InformationOur Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion :At Nine, we are committed to fostering a workforce that embraces all aspects of diversity and inclusion and where practices are equitable to ensure our people experience a sense of belonging.
