What you'll be doing
An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse in the Sexual Health Service within Targeted Clinical Services, Ambulatory and Primary Health Care (APHC) who will provide clinical care and advice to clients with complex health care needs relating to Sexual Health and HIV. This position is responsible for the provision of services across both the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions in primary and outreach settings.
Service delivery targets priority populations of men who have sex with men, sex workers, people living with HIV, young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders people, LGBTQI and people who inject drugs. The position is also responsible for the provision of health education and health promotion. Experience within this field is preferred but not essential.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.
