Job Title: Registered Nurse - Mental Health

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background in mental health care to join our team at Acacia Prison.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality mental health care to inmates and will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of both inmates and staff.
About the Role:
* Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for patients.
* Create and implement care plans in collaboration with other health professionals.
* Manage patients with complex mental health needs, ensuring quality care.
* Facilitate access to pharmacotherapy and other treatments for mental health.
* Work closely with custodial staff to ensure safety and security during crisis situations.
* Provide education and consultation to peers on mental health management strategies.
Requirements:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting.
* Strong clinical knowledge of mental health issues and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Cultural awareness and understanding of diverse patient needs.
* Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
