Occupational Therapist/Psychologist/Social Worker (Forensic Community Team)Provide clinical mental health services to consumers and their families with complex emotional and behavioural mental health needs.Job detailsPosition status: Fixed Term TemporaryPosition type: Full-timeOccupational group: Classification HP3Workplace Location: Gold CoastJob ad reference: QLD/GC606559HPClosing date: 09-Dec-2024Yearly salary: $107960 - $115604Fortnightly salary: $4138.10 - $4431.10Job duration: 12 months with the possibility of extensionPlease note this position may also be filled by a Clinical Nurse as per the Role Description.The RoleAn opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist/Psychologist/Social Worker (Forensic Community Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You will:Deliver clinical services aimed at maintaining optimal level of consumer functioning.Provide delivery of care in a variety of hospital and community settings including at external venues and consumers' homes.Apply professional knowledge and skills in clinical decision making under the practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff in consultation with the support of senior clinical staff.About youTo be successful in this position you will require:A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work.AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only).Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only).Driver Licence.Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost).About UsThe Forensic Community Team provides safe and effective management of consumers subject to Forensic provisions in compliance with the Mental Health Act 2016.
