About the Role
Workday’s ANZ business has seen significant growth and we expect this to accelerate even more. As we continue to strengthen our position in this key market, there is an increased opportunity to expand our Finance and Planning business with a new offering, AP&C. This will provide organisations both Planning as well as sophisticated Financial Consolidation capabilities.
To capitalise on the opportunities in this market and to scale the sales support and customer engagements to new levels, Workday is looking to augment our team with a Presales Solution Consultant who has specialised Financial Consolidation knowledge and skills to drive further success.
Workday is looking for an experienced, senior level Presales Solution Consultant who will be a Consolidations specialist. This is your chance to represent and demonstrate next generation Consolidation and Planning applications. Through pre-sales discovery meetings you will analyse an organisation's current operations and business needs then develop and present Workday's cutting-edge solutions to address their requirements.

As a Presales Solution Consultant, you are essential to the sales cycle and play an important role on the Sales team. You will use your subject matter expertise in the domain to provide support to the Sales team and help drive the sale by providing influence and credibility to C-level executives and Finance teams.
Specific responsibilities include:
1. Opportunity support activity to prospective Consolidation, Planning and Forecasting clients and customers
2. Participating in discovery workshops with users to formulate and document business requirements, including business processes, procedures and work practices
3. Assisting in the development of winning and differentiating value propositions and themes/messaging to customers, in collaboration with the sales team
4. Developing and championing Workday-based solutions to client problems, communicating them with the customer, implementation partners and internal stakeholders. This may involve various formats/viewpoints, such as process flows, context diagrams, functional/technical descriptions and recordings and functional demonstrations
5. Leading RFP/RFI responses and develop solution overviews that map customer’s business initiatives to the Workday solution
6. Preparing for and conducting winning demonstrations of the Workday solution to create impact in customer evaluation processes; demonstrating to the value proposition and customer expectations
7. May build a mini-application or proof-of-concept based on customer requirements to demonstrate the feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping.
8. Building expertise in specific industries and presenting the value of Workday solutions to customers in those industries
9. Building trusted-advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders who are influencers and decision-makers in an evaluation process
10. Continuously upgrading your skillsets and knowledge through the learning opportunities provided by Workday
About You
11. You are an exceptional, dynamic presenter with strong communication and influencing skills
12. You possess credibility and passion for presentations and product demonstrations around Finance technology solutions
13. You have strong functional knowledge and experience in the Financial Consolidation, Reporting as well as Financial Planning and Budgeting domains.
14. You like to continuously learn and upgrade your skillsets; you like to innovate in your activities and be creative in your presentations
15. You thrive under pressure and can manage multiple, simultaneous engagements with different prospects
Basic Qualifications
16. Detailed Financial Consolidation knowledge gained from relevant Presales and/or Services Consulting or industry roles, working with the Finance, Planning and Analytic functions of corporations
17. 5+ years experience in Consolidations and EPM.
Other Qualifications
18. Excellent presentation skills
19. Expert knowledge of Financial Consolidation and Reporting. Experience in Planning and Budgeting processes and tools across Financial, Workforce, Headcount, Sales and Operational Planning will be desirable.
20. Exposure to Financial Management solutions from Workday, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft or similar would be an advantage
21. Ability to lead solutioning efforts with team members and/or Workday partners, to design and position comprehensive legacy EPM and ERP replacement solutions
22. Experience in engagements with medium-sized and large enterprises in Australia and New Zealand, across multiple industries such as FSI, Higher Education, Healthcare, Government and Public Services, Retail, Professional Services etc.
23. Ability to hold, engage and create impact in C-level customer engagements (especially to the office of the CFO), with ability to communicate influentially and eventually develop a trusted-advisor relationship
