DeTECHT is a division of TECHT that specialises in corrosion engineering consultancy. The aim is to provide a fresh, objective approach to defining and solving corrosion issues. DeTECHT engineers aim to identify issues, define the root cause then provide cost effective repair options based on priority. The highly qualified team is experienced in all corrosion related services and produces industry leading results.
As a TECHT Senior Corrosion Engineer you will work alongside the DeTECHT team to execute the site-based component of the project works. This is where you will use your professional skills to execute the job safely, on time, within budget and to a high level of quality. At TECHT we take pride in achieving these results with minimal cost and disruption to businesses and their stakeholders.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (preferably in Corrosion Engineering or Materials Science); degrees in Mechanical or Structural Engineering will also be considered.5+ years of experience in corrosion prevention and control.Experience in project and contractor management.Extensive knowledge of related codes and standards.Experience with laboratory and field tests.Extensive knowledge of corrosion resistant materials and product.Experience in concrete repair and/or protective coating application.Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) – Advanced user.Must be to pass a medical examination.Be able to clear security checks (Suitable National Police Clearance).A current Drivers licence.Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably in Corrosion Engineering or Materials Science.5+ years in the mining or resources industry.Coating inspector certification (NACE etc.) and/or Project Management certification.NDT (Non-destructive testing) training.Competence in MS Project, AutoCAD etc.Experienced with design office disciplines and QA protocols.Experience in the design of structural details for concrete and structural steel repair.Familiarity with project design and execution including site stakeholder engagement, shutdown integration and tie in executions will be highly valued.Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members' capabilities and skill sets.The core duties of this role include: Provide expert advice and technical support on corrosion-related projects.Assisting in all aspects of project management planning.Project supervision and delivery.Building and maintaining client and supplier relationships.Ensuring project documentation is completed appropriately and meets both internal and external requirements.Providing leadership to the internal project team to assist in effectively delivering projects.Staying updated with industry codes, standards, and best practices.Advantages of Joining Our Team: Annual allowance towards paid training programs.Competitive salary and perks including a phone and laptop.Your application will include the following questions:
