About the role Lead a dynamic Contact Centre team in providing quality care for clients in Alcohol and Drug Services. Operate state-wide telephone and online services for people using alcohol or other drugs. Work within a strengths-based and harm-minimisation framework to deliver person-centred care. Provide drug and alcohol counselling, including bio-psychosocial assessments and evidence-based interventions. Offer health education, advice, and referrals to external agencies for further support. About you Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing, counselling, social work, psychology, or a related field and eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association. Demonstrated relevant clinical alcohol and drug experience including assessment, brief intervention and counselling of clients with substance use problems and co-existing mental health issues. Demonstrated understanding of contemporary approaches to alcohol and drug treatment, including harm reduction, person-centred and strengths-based approaches. Ability to identify clients’ specific needs and provide the appropriate assessments, interventions and approaches for an effective solution. Demonstrated strong communication skills (written, verbal, and via telephone), proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic patient record systems, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
