With a dedicated team and a strong reputation for quality workmanship, we are currently looking for a qualified Bricklayer to join our growing team.Position OverviewBricklayers at OZ BRICK PTY LTD are responsible for constructing and repairing walls, partitions, paving, arches, and other structures using bricks, pre-cut stones, and other types of building blocks.
This role also involves working with both hard and soft stone for construction and renovation projects.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret construction plans and specifications to determine materials, measurements, and installation methodsSet up and dismantle restricted height scaffolding as neededPrepare foundations with damp-resistant materials and apply mortar as a base for laying blocksLay bricks in rows, patterns, or decorative designs, applying mortar between jointsEmbed blocks in mortar and ensure excess mortar is removedCheck vertical and horizontal alignment of work using levels and other toolsCut, shape, and polish stones and bricks using hand tools or machineryRepair and maintain masonry structuresDesign and inscribe monumental masonry when requiredConstruct walls using large masonry slabs or stone blocksCut, polish, and install stone kitchen benchtopsMay prepare base and bedding course and install segmental pavingQualifications and SkillsAQF Certificate III (including at least 3 years of on-the-job training), orAQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)Proven experience in bricklaying and masonryStrong knowledge of Australian construction and safety standardsAttention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishesAbility to read and interpret plans and technical drawingsPhysical fitness and ability to work in various environmentsBenefitsCompetitive annual salary: $75,000 – $80,000Stable, full-time employmentOpportunities for professional developmentSupportive and skilled team environmentLong-term career growth opportunitiesTo ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and qualifications through this job post.
