Consultant/Specialist Geriatric Medicine
We are seeking interest from suitably experienced Consultant/Specialist Geriatric Medicine Physicians to join a dedicated team in a large tertiary referral hospital – Your chance to work in a $689-million-dollar redevelopment – state of the art health facility TERTIARY Hospital!
Salary package up to $480,000
Candidates who hold the UK CCST (Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training) or from a Competent Authority country may also be considered.

Duties:
1. Provide services in Geriatric Medicine including diagnosis, treatment and care for patients, both inpatient and outpatient.
2. In consultation with other clinical services assist with the management of Hospital patients following referral.
3. Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.
4. Undertake research in Geriatric Medicine.
5. Participate in such Hospital committee and administrative matters as required.
6. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
7. The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.
The Aged Care department has 66 inpatient beds for acute older persons’ care across 3 sites in central Hobart.
