On behalf of our Defence client, we are seeking an experienced Avionics Design Engineer to design engineering services to develop and support the ongoing avionics and software modification activities required for the upgrade of an Aircraft platform. The candidates must be Australian Citizens and must have a NV1 Security Clearance. As an Avionics Engineer, you will Develop, review, and approve design of Aircraft Health and Usage Monitoring systems. Manage the collection, distribution, and analysis of Aircraft Usage Data, and Mission Planning Software. Provide recommendations to Compliance Verification Engineers for Defence Aviation Safety Regulations Reviews. Conduct Systems Safety Analysis and engineering evaluations. Conduct systems tests investigations and produce technical reports. Provide technical support for test and evaluation activities. Project manage minor avionics projects, including Flight Test Instrumentation redesign. About You Appropriate Engineering Qualifications related to Avionics Design, Computer Science, or Aircraft Software Systems. Experience in designing and implementing software systems for Aircrafts. Experience in reviewing engineering drawings, conducting engineering investigations, and technical report writing. Experience in Software and Network Integration and Troubleshooting. Understanding of Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR).
