We currently have a vacancy for a Workshop Supervisor / Leading Hand to join our team. As a dealer for leading brands such as Kobelco, ASV and Wacker Neuson, our work consists mainly of the sales, repair and servicing of construction equipment.
The role of the Workshop Supervisor is to coordinate all repair and service jobs within the workshop and oversee other team members, including apprentices and sub-contractors.
You will:
* Supervise and oversee the maintenance and repairs of construction equipment and vehicles from leading OEM brands and be responsible for maintaining accurate records of repairs.
* Provide leadership, direction and supervision to the team and uphold the values of our company.
* Work closely with the customer to identify their needs and expectations for repairs to provide the best possible customer experience.
* Work closely with the sales and parts department in coordinating jobs and maintain productive workflow in the service department.
* Actively identify areas of improvement in the workshop and implement practical and cost-effective solutions.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
* Proven experience working with construction equipment (excavators, skid steers, etc. is essential) and hydraulics.
* High level of technical understanding.
* Experience in parts planning for multiple jobs.
* Physically fit to carry out the requirements of the job description.
* Good communication skills with the ability to create and maintain strong customer/supplier relationships.
* Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
* Innovative and practical approach to problem solving.
* Confident in your abilities with a growth/business mindset.
Qualifications:
* Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Mobile Plant Technology (Certificate III).
* HR Drivers licence (or willing to obtain).
* White Card (Construction).
