For this part-time (3 days a week) role, we will consider how well you:
• Ensure that your projects align to the department's broader positioning, media and communications strategies and narrative as part of an integrated communication approach.
• Provide expert recommendations on the design and delivery of media and communications projects, advice and services.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders, peers and staff at all levels to negotiate
solutions and outcomes.
• Demonstrate solid project management skills, including the ability to successfully define priorities, coordinate activities and deliver results within specified timeframes.
• Demonstrate the ability to be resilient and responsive in an environment with rapidly changing and evolving priorities.
• Contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback, and achieve agreed performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
You will have strong experience in supporting strategic communications projects. Government media and communications experience is not essential, but the ability to deliver excellent services in a complex environment is required.
While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, practical experience working in a communications and media team will be favourably regarded.
