A leading Federal Government Department is seeking a highly skilled Information Management and Records Specialist to lead and manage the agency’s information and records management functions. This critical role will ensure compliance with legislative requirements and promote best practices across digital and physical information systems. The initial contract is for 6 months, with a 6-month extension option.
The successful Information Management and Records Specialist will be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing an information and records management strategy in line with the National Archives Act.
* Managing Austrade’s Information policies, including the NAA Digital Check-up survey.
* Providing advice on information management systems, supporting EDRMS, and ensuring system functionality and security.
* Leading training and support for staff on records management tools and procedures.
* Overseeing compliance, conducting complex searches, data migration, and implementing retention/disposal schedules.
Key Requirements:
* Extensive experience in information and records management, with knowledge of government recordkeeping regulations.
* Expertise in EDRMS administration (Content Manager 10 and Microsoft 365 highly desirable).
* Strong leadership skills and experience in developing and implementing information management policies.
