About the company:
Marble has partnered with a renowned, Civil Contractor celebrated for its extensive experience in executing major infrastructure and urban development projects across Queensland and New South Wales.
Our client is seeking an experienced Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working on significant subdivisions or other Civil infrastructure projects.
As an Engineering Surveyor, you'll be at the heart of dynamic construction projects, translating data into precision on the ground. You'll lead the charge in ensuring every element aligns perfectly with project specifications, from initial data analysis and GPS modeling to hands-on site setup and quality assurance. With each project, you'll be a vital player, coordinating with skilled teams, utilizing cutting-edge survey technology, and driving quality, safety, and efficiency forward.
About the role:
* Analyse and import data for drafting final plans, maintaining a current library in the system.
* Update and convert digital data and models to GPS files, ensuring data accuracy in survey instruments.
* Track and upgrade machine software, keeping a "location register" of all onsite GPS equipment.
* Review and assess plans for accuracy against project specifications on-site.
* Coordinate survey set-outs with project continuity and resource utilization in mind.
* Conduct pre-site calculations and communicate necessary information to site personnel.
* Set out construction sites using survey techniques, ensuring adherence to project drawings.
* Regularly monitor and ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards on-site.
* Maintain, service, and store surveying equipment securely at the end of each day.
* Provide documented information to site teams where non-compliance risks exist.
* Foster a productive, high-morale team environment through proactive coaching and mentoring.
* Conduct regular meetings with project teams to stay informed, address issues, and ensure alignment.
The essentials:
* Background in Survey processes.
* Proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
* Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and maintaining focus on priorities.
* Demonstrated numeric accuracy and analytical skills.
* Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
* Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.
* Computer literacy, particularly experience working with CAD.
* Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification - Surveying or Spatial Science
* Current Drivers Licence
This is a FIFO or DIDO position from either Brisbane or Sydney to Orange. 8 / 6 Roster.
