We are seeking a motivated Services Assistant to provide essential catering and cleaning services within our health unit. As a Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our clients through timely and effective catering and housekeeping services. Your duties will include food preparation and delivery, laundry tasks, and general cleaning to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our clients while working in a supportive team. Key responsibilities include: Perform minor sewing repairs and assist with laundry duties, including washing, sorting, and folding. Conduct routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and window washing, as well as high cleaning using ladders. Manage cleaning equipment and document stock orders accurately. Prepare a variety of meals and snacks, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements. Plate and deliver food, and assist clients with menu selection. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, following food safety protocols. Essential Criteria Proven ability to work effectively in a team and relate to diverse staff and clients. Flexible and adaptable approach to work, including shifts and rostering. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with people from various backgrounds. Ability to meet deadlines and work under general direction while maintaining confidentiality. No previous experience in catering or housekeeping?
