Hungry Jack's, one of Australia's most iconic and exciting QSR brands, is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in managing cash flow, supporting the finance team, and ensuring accurate reporting. You will partner with the Development, Marketing, District and Restaurant Managers, and I.T. departments to ensure smooth operations and best practice processes across the business. Key responsibilities of the role include: Cash Reconciliations by store with daily reporting to operationsBalance sheet reconciliations completed monthly with variances followed up in a timely mannerMonth-end specific P&L accounts analysis and commentariesCash control processes and reconciliationDaily bank reconciliationsNew vendor setup and control for AP teamProcess aggregator commissions, receivables, and fees reclassification through OracleMonthly accruals, prepayment and allocation journalsProviding accurate and timely reporting to the business in line with Hungry Jack's requirements and Accounting StandardsAssist in audit processes as requiredDocument key processes for all areas of responsibilitySupport the FP&A team in preparing annual budgets and ongoing financial forecastsContinual improvement of systems and processSkill/Experience Requirements: 2+ years' work experience in an accounting role (high volume transaction business preferred)Business degree in Commerce or AccountingCPA or CA qualification.
