The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to assist the Design Engineering area in the collection of field data and development of detailed engineering designs for delivery of capital projects including civil works & asset renewals, buildings, leisure & recreation assets and other projects as assigned.
As a Design Officer, you will assist the Project Services Section in the collection of topographical and field data relating to civil works. You will inspect works carried out by the contractors and Works Team to ensure compliance with design and specifications.

About You
We are seeking an individual who has a Diploma level qualification (or the ability to gain a Diploma) in Engineering, Spatial Science, Spatial Information Services, or other relevant field (indicative) and has two (2) years' demonstrated experience in computer aided design (CAD) such as Autocad, 12d, Revit, or Civil 3d.
You will have the following skills and experience;
* Demonstrated experience in project, consultant, and contractor management.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the scoping, investigation, survey and design of civil works projects. Two (2) years’ experience (Indicative).
* High level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $84,731.97 gross per annum, comprising of:
* $1,461.40 per week base salary
* $168.06 per week superannuation (calculated at 11%)
