Make a meaningful difference with BlueCare. We're looking for someone who wants to make the world a little better through small moments that leave big impacts. To build meaningful relationships and make a difference in the lives of others.
As a Maintenance and Grounds Officer, you'll be encouraged to grow, develop and feel empowered to make the everyday easier for the people we care so passionately about.
Your part in our Blue Care team Operating at a state-wide level, our Facilities & Maintenance team supports the delivery of UnitingCare Queensland services through proactively managing and maintaining the extensive property portfolios in South East Queensland (SEQ), Rural and Regional Queensland (R&R) and Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS).
Joining the team in the Maintenance and Grounds Officer role, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and connect with colleagues, residents and contractors at a designated BlueCare local site whilst being supported by teams in the region and across the state.
A day in the role will see you balancing general gardening duties and lawn care, maintenance of plant and equipment, undertake minor property work and importantly, contribute to the safe and pleasing environment for our aged care residents, staff and visitors.
What makes a difference for us? Experience in maintenance building, plant, equipment gardening or landscape or the ability to acquire these skills. Demonstrated communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Commitment to be a proactive member of a regional team. Relevant Trade Qualifications or Certificate in Facilities, Building or Construction. Ability to manage work schedules and meet deadlines. Proficiency in IT systems. Current Australian driver's license. Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain. BlueCare is proudly part of the UnitingCare Family. Joining the state's largest network of aged care workers with its over 8,000 strong, bright team in blue, you'll also be welcomed as part of the UnitingCare family. Our team are compassionate, inclusive and committed to the work we do, helping people live life in all its fullness.
