Senior Manager, Business Customer Compliance
You will be joining the CommBank Business Banking (BB) Compliance team at an extremely exciting time as you will be supporting CommBank's ambitious growth agenda for the Business Bank. You will be joining an established but expanding team which is seen as a crucial business partner for BB.
The BB Business Customer Compliance Team is an established Line 2 Regulatory Compliance team, dedicated to the provision of proactive solution-based support and advice. The team supports Business Banking's frontline Distribution segments who interact with BB customers ranging from small businesses regional agribusiness and commercial customers as well as listed companies in our Major Client Group. The team also provides Compliance support for BB's ESG and scam initiatives.
About this role:
* Reporting directly to the Executive Manager Business Customer Compliance you will provide dedicated Line 2 Regulatory Compliance support as a senior member of our team. The role works closely with our Line 1 teams acting as a lead compliance representative across Business Banking.
* Regulatory Compliance advice to Business Banking
* Supporting Line 1 Risk teams to identify and comply with regulatory obligations excluding Financial Crime related obligations and licensing requirements
* Providing Compliance policy advice independent review challenge direction and training
* Developing and continuously improving policies procedures tools and practices for effectively managing regulatory risk
* Providing insights and proactive advice on new and existing regulatory obligations applicable to business processes and initiatives including consultation on and implementation of regulatory change relevant to Business Banking
* Assessing monitoring and leading investigations of Compliance incidents and issues including supporting the effective management and prevention of Compliance breaches supporting regulatory reporting and providing Compliance advice from the identification of potential breaches through to remediation and rectification
What we're looking for:
* Compliance/regulatory advisory experience in the relevant discipline 3yrs + with a preference for Commercial/Business Banking expertise
* In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations underpinning the financial services industry
* Proven ability to become a subject matter expert in relevant obligations and related policies standard and procedures through extensive experience in advising key business stakeholders
* Strong reasoning and decision-making skills with an ability to support decisions and clearly articulate the commercial regulatory and customer implications of your analysis and findings
* Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively and interact/advise in verbal/written communications at all stakeholder levels
* Strategic and analytical thinking and solid business acumen
* Ability to prioritise schedule and meet challenging deadlines with autonomy and self-sufficiency
* A willingness to learn an inquisitive and open mind and a collaborative working style
